Vi-skogen is a Swedish aid organization that since 1983 has supported over 2.5 million people towards a better life. Vi-skogen works with tree planting in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania. These four countries are heavily affected by deforestation.
Vi-skogen educates in sustainable agriculture, gender equality, and entrepreneurship. Tree planting improves farmers' crops, provides shade, binds moisture and nutrient-rich nitrogen in the soil, and promotes biodiversity.
These efforts provide women and men living in poverty with the ability to better cope with the effects of the climate crisis. Their living conditions improve, simultaneously contributing to climate improvement.
